Berauldus

Index Colloquiorum:

Nicolaus Beraldus was a French humanist and pedagogue who founded a school called the "Paedagogia" in Paris. He was a good friend of Erasmus and published edited versions of Classical and modern texts, including the works of his friend Angelus Politianus. From 1528, he served as tutor to the Duke of Montmorency's children, including the famous Cardinal and convert to Calvinism, Odet of Coligny. His wife and son would seek refuge in Montbeliard after his death as Protestants. See Vicipaedia and Wikipedia.
